Dr. Crombie graduated from Ashtabula Harbor High School, received his Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University, and graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. He returned to Ashtabula to join his father, Robert B. Crombie, DDS, in their newly remodeled dental office. A year later, they were joined in practice by Dr. Crombie’s wife, Debra A. Balogh-Crombie, DDS, whom he met in dental school.
Continual growth of their respective practices allowed for the construction of The Healthy Smile Center. Dr. Crombie has taken substantial postgraduate training in orthodontics and served as an instructor for international lecturer Dr. Brock Rondeau, helping to train other dentists in straightwire orthodontics and functional appliances. He enjoys performing surgical placement of conventional and mini dental implants to help secure dentures and for missing tooth replacement.
Dr. Crombie has completed intensive training in temporomandibular (TMJ) disorders and orofacial pain through The Institute for Advanced TMJ Studies, directed by Dr. Steve Olmos, with additional training by Dr. Harold Gelb. He is pleased to provide this treatment to his patients for headaches and TMJ disorders. He also pursues continuing education in general dentistry to stay on the leading edge of his profession.
Dr. Crombie is a member of the American Dental Association, Ohio Dental Association, Northeast Ohio Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and the International Association for Orthodontics. He is a past president and current member of the Ashtabula Rotary and a Leadership Ashtabula graduate.
Dr. Crombie is committed to giving back to his hometown community by being a part of the Community Host Group and a provider for Remote Area Medical – an annual healthcare clinic offering free health care to all patients.
For fun, he enjoys pursuing his passion for music by playing guitar and singing in the Loose Tooth Band – a rock, pop, and blues band that plays in many wineries and venues in northeast Ohio.
Debra A. Balogh-Crombie, DDS

Dr. Balogh-Crombie graduated from Strongsville High School and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at The University of Toledo. After receiving her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry, she married Dr. Martin Crombie. Their growing practices allowed for the construction of a state-of-the-art dental office located in Ashtabula, Ohio.
Committed to education, she pursued her postdoctoral orthodontic training through The International Association of Orthodontics. She was pleased to serve as an Instructor to Dr. Brock Rondeau in Washington, D.C., helping to train dentists in Straightwire Orthodontics and Functional Appliances. In response to her patients’ need for comprehensive treatment, she continued her postdoctoral education by completing intensive training in Temporomandibular Disorders and Orofacial Pain through The Institute for Advanced TMJ Studies, directed by Dr. Steven Olmos, with additional training by Dr. Harold Gelb. She is pleased to provide this treatment to her patients for headaches and TMJ disorders.
The close relationship between orthodontics, TMJ disorders, and sleep apnea/breathing disorders led Dr. Balogh-Crombie to pursue training for the treatment of Dental Sleep Disorders, including snoring and sleep apnea. Dr. Balogh-Crombie has completed extensive training by the American Academy of Facial Esthetics in Botulinum toxin (Botox) treatment and dermal fillers. In addition to providing these services for cosmetic and smile enhancement purposes, she also offers Botulinum Toxin therapy for headache, migraine, bruxism, and trigger points.
Dr. Balogh-Crombie was the Director of the North Coast Dental Study Club for 20 years, which provided continuing education by both national and international presenters to Northeast Ohio and Pennsylvania dental colleagues. Committed to giving back to her community, she is also the Dental Clinic lead for Ashtabula County’s Remote Area Medical clinic, providing free health care to all patients.
Dr. Balogh-Crombie is a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, International Association of Orthodontics, Ohio Dental Association, and Northeast Ohio Dental Society. She was a 15-year member of Ashtabula Rotary, Leadership Ashtabula graduate, Community Advisory Council member of Ashtabula County Medical Center, an Advisory Board member of Ashtabula County Joint Vocational School, and a volunteer for the Ashtabula County Animal Protective League.
In her spare time, Dr. Debra enjoys spending time with her family and pets, traveling, gardening, and playing electric violin in her husband’s rock, pop, and blues band – The Loose Tooth Band – which plays at many venues in northeast Ohio.

Dr. John Hoza is pleased to offer quality dentistry to his neighbors in Ashtabula County. He earned both his Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University. After dental school, Dr. Hoza practiced and continued his education for four years as a captain in the United States Air Force.
Dr. Hoza has taken numerous postgraduate education courses, specifically focusing on aesthetic dentistry. You can achieve your dream smile with treatments such as orthodontics, porcelain veneers, or clear aligner trays (Invisalign). A graduate of the Nash Institute for Aesthetic Dentistry, Dr. Hoza is committed to providing a functional, stable, beautiful, and healthy smile. He places and restores both mini and traditional dental implants and is certified in placing and restoring mini dental implants.
Dr. Hoza is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, Ohio Dental Association, Northeast Ohio Dental Society, and the International Association of Orthodontics.
He is also a member of the Ashtabula Kiwanis Club and the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Geneva. Dr. Hoza enjoys spending time with his wife Danielle, daughter Maggie, and his family and friends. In his free time, he enjoys golf, jet skiing, home improvement, and traveling.
